Seems thats happening alot lately. Its so sad. One of the units in the brigade my husband is in has only been in Afghanistan for a month and a half and about half the unit has already been sent "Dear John" letters. I just dont understand it. Sure they are gone for a year, but I mean... its not like they arent coming back. I thought it was 'for better or for worse' not 'for better or until I decide I dont like what is happening'

Most people don't leave bc the person is deployed. They leave during that timeframe bc they don't have to face that person and they use the soldiers extra combat pay for their own

well i dont have to worry about stuff liek that we talk abotu everything and work out our problems, it has to suck however for those who do have to go through it hubbers and i have been together way too long to throw it all away, good luck is all i can say to you

Had a buddy of mine come home after only 7 months (marines) and his wife had told him 10 days before that she wanted a divorce. He was going to give her what she wanted, but she showed up at the homecoming wanting him back. He went back to her, got his "lovings" in, she came home from work a few days later to their apartment cleaned out, divorce papers and some money and a plane ticket back to her home town. He had sold the furniture and everything and gave her half the money. Payback sucked.
