Does anyone know of any jobs hiring? I have not worked in 3 years and all the places I looked at either are not hiring or only part time. I need something full time. I called the FCC to see about opening my own daycare but it will take 2 months before I can open it and classes don't start until jan. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you have access to on post (as in you're a spouse or something related to the military) you can go to the employment readiness center on base. They get tons of job listings and help you with your resume and interviewing skills.

Not a great job, but a job, is a new club opening in H.H. They are having open interviews on Sat. from 11-1 I think. I heard some people talking about it today. Its called Roselle or something like that. I know its on Bus. 190

granny A married mother of two working at a club? -_-

Bank of America in Cove is hiring part-time tellers. Cove courthouse is hiring court clerks. CPS was hiring agents and Police department in Cove was hiring as well.
You could always get with housing, see if they're hiring. Fort Hood National Bank would be a good option, just walk in and ask for an application. You could also try filling out an application with the Post office.
Just drive around and get some applications. Nobody's going to kill you for getting an application. By law businesses are required to give out applications even if they're not hiring. If they hire you - great, if they don't - big deal.

BTW I would not recommend AAFES. MWR is a better option.

Well my goodness, sorry to offend you, but if she really needs a job and can't wait for months to get a job in this town I let her know they are hiring. I didn't realize that if you are a mother and married you can't work there. Why thank you for clarifying that for me.

A job is a job when you need to feed and clothe your kids. Money is money. I used to manage a club and there were many mothers working there.

I worked at a "bar" while I was married with 2 kids. I made awesome tips. I did nothing wrong and it allowed me to stay home with my kids during the day and my hubby was with them when I worked.

I think the best Western in Cove is also hiring for a front desk clerk, there is also a new nursing home being built, I don't know when they open or if when they're hiring but might not hurt to check. It sits behind the Cove wal mart. Oh & toys r us is hiring too

i agree...a job is a job and if you need something im sure youd take what was offered. beggers cant be choosers. i know MANY respectable people workin in clubs. hell...dan used to be a bouncer workin with his friend in a HH club. for as lame as it sounds he actually made pretty good money.

just an idea since you mentioned opening a daycare...if thats something your really passionate about work while you take the classes and do the things that need to be done to get this started that away in a few months you can be ready for it and then be able to be at home with your kids.

There was an opening at the kennels I saw the other day, target is always hiring, and there are a lot of daycares around that I have seen hiring. I use to be a waitress at a bar in Killeen, and after I married my husband and we had kids, he would never feel comfortable with me working at one again.. and me neither. I don't look down on others that do, but I think it might be harder to get tips if they know you are married. My boss told me flat out to lie if I had a boyfriend and say I was single, for unfortunately, Killeen has a 8-1 guy/girl ratio and many are single...
