Well...think we are finally getting things done. I got the power of attny and will be going to Ft Hood this week to do my enrollment in Deers and get my i.d. and all that good stuff! So..all is going smooth thus far! Glad to be apart of "the family"!!! Hope you are having a terrific week! Jen

Glad to hear it's going well Jen! The enrollment in Deers is all on the soldier though, there isn't anything you can do as far as that goes and you can't do anything else until it's done. I do believe there is a way to either call or check a website to verify that your information is properly in the DEERS system. May want to just double check before you come up to get your ID done. After that, as long as You've got the Power of Attorney or the DD Form for your ID filled out and signed by your soldier your good to go. It's almost good to plan on a trial run where something will go wrong and you won't have something you need. lol

Actually...I have to take care of my enrollment with Deers and all that stuff...because I its state sitused....I am here in Texas..and Brian is in Germany. So...I have my P.O.A. and am going to do my i.d. and all my paper work, hopefully today. Brian did all the paper work and then got the P.O.A. fed ex'd to me yesterday. 

This is my understanding anyway. Im so confused. Hey...lets girls get together soon for girls night. Have dinner and drinks and lots of laughs!

I enrolled our family into Deers at an Air Force base when I lived in San Antonio so I don't think you will have a problem.
