Subject: Free toys for soldiers kids in Killeen Dec. 18th

To all,

Operation Once in a Lifetime will be doing our annual Toys for Troops
drive this December 18th from 1400-1700 at the Killeen Hooters located
at
1501 E Central Texas Expy Killeen (254) 501-4195. We will be
distributing
thousands of dollars in toys and gift cards to all U.S. Soldiers and
Veterans regardless of rank that could use some Christmas assistance for
the
holidays. Military members need to bring their military ID and if they
are
needing toys for their older children then they will need their
children's
military ID to get toys. Veterans can either bring a copy of their
dd214
and a valid ID or retired military ID. We should have enough gifts to
accommodate about 400-500 families. We have toys for all age ranges
from 1
years to 17 years old including bikes, x box games, Barbies and more.

If you would like to donate toys to soldiers that could use them for
the
holidays, Hooters will be collecting toys all week to be distributed on
the
18th. So even if you do not need toys or any soldier you know, you can
still
help a fellow soldier and his family by donating a toy.

That's awesome that they are able to do that

I just hope families that really need toys right now will take advantage of this. There are a lot of army people out there that drive around take things they don't need off of people's cubs and re-sell them or ask for free things on craigslist and re-sell them.
I really hope that people are decent enough to let needy kids have their toys.

Does the soldier have to be there? Mine is deployed.

I dropped off a bunch of toys yesterday. They said the soldier does not need to be there, but you must have your military ID. As of yesterday they have enough toys for about 400.

The event is open to soldiers of all ranks. Those interested must present valid military identification cards. Each person is limited to two toys. The event will take place at Hooters, 1501 E. Central Texas Expressway.
