I am wanting to get my new tattoo. I would like to find a place that I can trust to do a great job. I am not scared of any pain but the fact that it is permanent. I dont want to be left with something that I hate or dislike. Does anyone know of a good tattoo place that is cheap and great. 

i know rancier isn't the best place to be, but there is a place right by the east gate that does amazing tattoos! my husband got 4 done there. i am going to get one in a few days myself:-) i would suggest going around to a few different places, getting a feel of the settings, etc. i got one of mine in austin, and i love the area, the feel of the place, the artist, but i also paid 100 dollars more than my other ones that were bigger than this one. so just walk in to a few different places. 

i got mine at slaughterhouse or skin tone .skin tone i love most cause its awesome clean and nicki the owner is cool as hell an her prices are not to bad but good work :) 

I prefer to completely leave this area. I can get a couple names of some awesome tattoo artists in Austin if you are interested. 

I went on Fort Hood Street to second to none, my hubby got one done there too and we both like their work 

i had 2 done at jaded dragon on rancier not to far from east gate 

Tattoo U is awesome! My husbands tat was done in 3 hours and came out amazing. Sam and I got matching Tats there too. Danny Boy is friggin amazing.

I get my work done at Kingpin by Shay Haas the owner! He is freaking awesome! He has done 3 of mine. He is hard to get the first 6 months of the year because he travels to conventions and he also is gone at different time due to him having guest spots in Hawaii and Germany.
Josh at Kingpin is awesome too he did one of my husbands. 

Crazy you mention a tattoo shop in Cove. I was in Salinas, CA a few years ago, and when I showed my Texas ID before I got a tat, the guy told me he went to Cove every payday weekend to tattoo. It was pretty crazy considering I lived in Killeen, and was getting a tattoo in Cali from someone who knew where that was!
