My hubby transfered the GI Bill to me and im looking into going back to school. Any good schools I can do online. I know some charge an obscene amount of money.

Also anyone know anything about Ft. Benning? My hubby is PCSing there in November.

Thanks in advance!

My husbands CSM always pushes Colorado Technical University. I checked into it and it seems really good.

I have been going through University of Phoenix, they offer a discount. I just finished my associates program and am now working on my bachelors.

I would recommend doing CTC online courses...out of state colleges cost a lot more... but since you will be using the GI bill i assume that wont be a problem just something to think about tho

My husband does CTC online and he likes them too

I go to Ashford University online. absofreakinglutely LOVE them. classes are discounted for military (750 for a 3 credit class) no fees other than your fee for your major (ie: education) and graduation, books are free and you can sell them when you are done (some are ebooks).

UoP has screwed a lot of my friends over financially, and lately I heard someone say that 60 minutes or nightline did a study on the cost of colleges and UoP came up with a really bad reputation for having people 'owe' them money out of no where after they started classe (this happened to my husband, they conveniently lost part of his financial aid packet and would nto resubmit it)

I would not recommend AIU online. They screwed over my Grandpa so bad. He has his GI bill still. We did all the paperwork for him and helped him get everything set up. A month into classes they tell him that he owes $7000 by the end of the week. They never submitted the rest of his stuff after we have emails saying that they did. I spent so much time on the phone fighting with them that he finally dropped the classes. Mind you my grandpa lives with us. Since his stroke he gets his words mixed up sometimes so I did the fighting for him. Plus Im a bigger B*tch then he could ever be when they screwed him around. :D

University of Phoenix has nice classes and easy assignments, but they DO STEAL YOUR MONEY! They owe me 6,000... mycaa paid for these classes, but somehow UOP says that this money was never sent over to them. After calling mycaa, they sent me papers and logs of when the money was sent over to UOP. I called my counselor again, and supposedly the school has to accept the money, and he has no control over it... I used mycaa for classes a year ago! They took the money out of my loan and told me when mycaa came through they would refund me. Liars. After I get my degree after these last two classes, I am going over to Grand Canyon!

I've been taking classes thru Coastline Community College. One of my old FRG leaders highly recommended them to me. They have a special military spouse program with the Coastline Community College They have the SOC agreement, so your all credits will transfer to anywhere! They even give you a $50 credit to go towards your books! Their rate is $79 per semester hour. I love them! They are approved for the myCAA too!

Someonesangel let MyCAA know this because it explicitly states that the MyCAA money has to be used for classes and not other form of financial aid can be used to pay for the same class. If you let them know what UoP is doing then they will blacklist UoP from using any VA/MyCAA money at all

meg: I am going to do that.. even though i have already told them twice that something is up with UOP.. I still haven't gotten that money, and I need that to begin my next classes.

What degree plans do they have at Coastal Community College??? Anything in Education?
