Ok sorry I must vent but one thing that just makes me want to do a KUNG FO PANDA on someone is when, I see double or triple dipping what do I mean ok here. I go

The Sears program
Then she signed up for Operation Homefront program.

Then she signed up for the Unit program.

SERIOUSLY THIS SHIZT PISSESSSS ME OFF ITS PEOPLE LIKE THIS THAT NEED TO STOP THAT BECAUSE IT HURTS OTHERS WHO NEED THE HELP.

And she told me she will dip again and again till she gets all she can get she said if it was not for her to have children she would not get anything that is sick and I have stop answering my phone to this pig.

She is a anus that needs a big anus slap

I dont see anything wrong with signing up for things you qualify for.

We got the Heroes at Home Sears program this year and that is for any active duty military not need based at all.

the unit programs are usually for lower enlisted families who are in need and they verify the needs of the family. So I don't have an issue of it.

Now if she is lying to get these things that is wrong. We have my nephew this year and I will be signing up for the unit program to help us supplement his presents since we dont have much right now.

The problem I see is when you sign up for 6 programs and that to me is double dipping and triple dipping and so on and so forth.

For example how many Christmas trees do you really need with oranments for free?

And seriously I understand gifts for your Children but seriously how many do they truly need?

And then how many gifts cards and food voucher cards do you real need for Christmas dinner?

To me this is sick and truly not right learn to not be a pig and take all you can get and learn to leave things for other families that is how I feel so many go with out.

And this is a triple dipper

I agree. I mean, only a certain amount of people can do the sears program. Every year, we miss it even when we try right after it's available! Stop being greedy and share so everyone receives a little of something.

Megz (Mod) --- 13 years ago -

if shes doing multiple programs that are doing the same thing then I can see the issue.

I dont even do the trees for troops mostly bc 1) dont want to deal with a real tree and 2) i have a male dog. Sooooooo not going there LOL

You never truly know a person or whats going on in a person's life unless you have walked a mile in their shoes. So unless you live with that person or a very good friend to that person that you know everything about her life I don't see where it's anyones business.

Alright I guess I might need to not complain but to be upfront it just sick to know the fact the fact that someone wants to go and collect 4 Christmas trees seriously to me that is very sick when you know others could use it. Im done with this topic

I guess I see it both ways. Triple dipping for the same thing like trees I would be ticked. Only sign up for stuff you really need and let someone else get a chance.

In the same sense I can see the other side. We got the Sears card. We also were signed up by his unit for the unit Christmas stuff. Now we didnt sign up for it ourselves but its still kind of the same thing. His unit knows we spent every bit of our savings trying to get back and forth to the hospital multiple times a week. We jut planned on having a little lighter Christmas and making up for it on there birthdays. But his unit signed us up and Im thankful for the extra help this year.

i could see the anger but also im the type to take one and that be that. when i was at Hood the first christmas we signed up for the lower enlisted deal and that was it...my ex's unit encouraged him to sign up for this and that but we felt someone else needed it more and didnt sign up for anything else...then they ended up raffling off a turkey and we won it so i felt that was more then enough.

i guess im a "neutral" in this. but of course if there are health issues pending ( like FLFFC's circumstance) then i would understand...some people dont realize that the point of christmas isnt about getting things...its all commercialized and completely misses the point and every year it seems to get worse...but that is just my opinion.

Agreed. It is such a hassle getting everyone the "perfect" expensive gift they want for xmas. I value the traditions such as making cookies and frosting them, making rum balls, decorating tree, etc. It seems pointless to go broke every year just to get every gift cards or stupid gifts.

This is just me, I would not even stress over what she is doing in her life, it really does not effect you or myself directly.

Let her do what she do and you keep it trucking and take care of your own.

Ephesians 4:31-32
Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
