no I won't get one, the application was screwing up when I tried 100000 times on the first day before they closed it :(( It's only money,but with the new baby was hoping to get her something.... But I know Grandpa will be a big gift giver...he can't help himself! lol

I agree, it said BY the 27th right? I think they've always sent out the emails in waves before. They are probably just going from app #1 down the line, checking for eligibility and sending the email confirmation when it checks out good and moving on to the next app...at least I hope so for those who didn't get this email yet. 

ughhh i did not get into this but i must say GOD does bless who do good and we got into a different program which is amazing :> thank you to man who is watching over us :> 

I did get in but I am sickened by the comments left on the sears website complaining about this. Really people? This isnt something they have to do. Be thankful they even offer it!

I called last week to ask how they were checking to see how you were military. When we applied in 08 you had to put all of your military info in the application. They said starting today they would start sending out emails and it was expected to take several days to email everyone. 

I never got through, i was a little upset but oh well, hope mine goes to someone who really needs it. 

I got mine. My brother got an email saying they needed more info I think because he was active then reserve then back active,but we'll see. 

wonder how they get it all figured out, not really much information unless they have a list of names which would seem like it would be a pretty big list.

I got an email too, but it gave me a number to call to verify military service. I am calling right now to see whats up.:) 

i had an e-mail too to verify came tru after an hour waiting and they told me the server is down have to call back 

We received our email and they asked my husand to call. He said it was weird all they asked him to do was verify his name age and home address. Other then the fact we have a on post address I have no idea how they could tell we were military.

Apparently they're asking to speak to the soldiers specifically due to a lot of divorced wives signing up under the ex's name, but their address and email...They've had quite a few cases of the soldier's signing up for the program and the ex signing up under the soldier's name. So they're having to sort through it.

Are you serious?! My hubby was married before but I don't know how on God's Green Earth she would know where we were or anything. I signed us up, got the confirmation saying email by the 27th, and then the email today saying they need him to call them at the 800 number to verify. That had better NOT be why, I would be superbly po'd. 

Ours just went right through. Our email said nothing about verifying. I wonder why we dont have to verify? Hmm
